I am an experienced counsellor, couple counsellor, counselling supervisor and trainer. My Humanistic Integrative model includes working with short time-limited, medium and long-term approaches.   I am passionate about the work that I do and new clients are often gained on personal recommendation.

I have worked in education and training in a wide range of settings for over 25 yrs, (further and higher education, the NHS, community, residential and social care)   My passion has been in helping others to be the best that they can be.  I have gained excellent communication and people skills in many roles – as trainer, coach, mentor, consultant, leadership and management development adviser, change agent, mediator, advocate and facilitator.

I qualified as a counsellor in 2003, trained with Relate as a couple counsellor and then studied for a BSc degree.  I continue to study at post-graduate level and I also keep my knowledge and skills updated by attending training events, conferences and  monthly network support groups.  I have regular supervision of my clinical practice and personal counselling when needed – I believe in the therapeutic healing process.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Sexual Educators (BASE) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  I abide by their code of ethics and guidelines.  I also have the  appropriate Professional and Public Liability insurances.

Services

We are able to offer a variety of psychological therapies and skills development services that will help you to make positive changes in your life.    We aim to offer you a meeting to assess your needs within 5 working days of you requesting a consultation.  If we are unable to help we will advise you of alternative services more appropriate to your needs.  Flexible daytime and evening appointments can be arranged for individuals, couples and groups.
